The Rider - Shané Steffen
Shané grew up living all along the East Coast of Australia and travelling to different parts of the world.
She has always had an avid love of horses, owning her first horse at 9 years old, and her adventurous nature was definitely ignited by her family from a young age, particularly her mother.
Initially she began study as an Engineer, doing an internship in Germany where she enjoyed her job, but she always felt like something was missing.
Upon her return back to Australia she immediately changed to study Agricultural Science. She has been involved in the Agricultural industry for over 15 years and the community that surrounds it, starting as a Jillaroo at 11 years old.
She wanted to learn more about sustainable and regenerative farming practices and how to help farmers adapt.
The real equine adventure started when she came across a photo of an Arabian horse sitting in a Brisbane doggers yards and she was immediately captivated.
Shané has been dreaming, preparing and training for years for her upcoming far ride.
She is excited to challenge herself and to experience the beauty of Australia on horseback, but most importantly inspire others to partake in what is sure to be an unforgettable adventure.
She will be travelling through some of the most beautiful parts of Australia, and she will be sharing the experience with her beloved horses and family.
