We are excited to announce Stockman’s Way, a monumental near 1,000-kilometre trek that will take us from the steps of the Stockman’s Hall of Fame in Longreach to the legacy of the R.M. Williams Bush Learning Center in Eidsvold.
Riding the Arteries of the Outback
We will be riding the historic stock routes—the original network of travel pathways that served as the lifeblood of the outback, moving cattle and connecting remote communities. To travel this way is to ride in the footsteps of legends, following the same contours of the land that guided the stockmen and drovers of the past.
This is more than a journey between two points on a map. From the iconic museum that preserves Australia’s stockman culture in Longreach, to the Eidsvold R.M Williams Center dedicated to honoring the skills of the bushman for the future, we are physically and symbolically connecting two pillars of our cultural heritage with stock routes as The Way.
