Our next Far Ride is our most ambitious and evocative yet. We are excited to announce Stockman’s Way, a monumental trek that will see us traverse through the soul of Australia. We’re riding from the Stockman’s Hall of Fame in Longreach to the R.M. Williams Bush Learning Centre in Eidsvold—a journey of almost 1,000 kilometres along the nation’s historic stock routes.
Why?
This ride is a tribute to the enduring legacy of Australian bush culture. We’re riding to raise awareness of the stock routes themselves—the original networks that connected the country – by connecting these two pillars of cultural heritage.
This journey is about championing the vital importance of preserving these stock routes as a cultural, community, and environmental asset. We want to highlight the incredible potential they hold for the future: for sustainable eco-tourism, for the slow travel movement, and for keeping a unique part of our cultural heritage alive and accessible for generations to come.
